A Self-Serve World

I read this headline today, "First it was gas stations. Then it was banks. Now it's supermarkets. Pretty soon, we'll live in an entirely self-serve world" I thought, why not? When I go to the grocery store I can usually check myself through much faster than the cashiers and I know that you don't put heavy stuff with eggs and bread and you don't put meat with detergent. These are things that you would think are common sense, but apparently, there really is no such thing.

Yes, please, let me do it myself. And give me a discount for it. I pump my own gas, I scan and sack my own groceries. If I'm going to be doing my own work, give me a benefit for it.
